Shipping Policies

Shipping & Delivery
Currently, we use FedEx and USPS (Post Office) for all our deliveries. Of the two delivery companies, the fastest and most reliable shipping company has been FedEx. We guaranty live arrivals only on overnight deliveries by FedEx. All orders over $650 will receive free shipping. Orders under $650 have a flat rate of $60 for FedEx standard overnight. Flat rate for USPS Expressmail Service is $40 and USPS Priority Mail Service is $15.

Packaging
All livestock orders will be double bagged with 3mm thickness shipping bags and carefully packed into a thick styrofoam cooler. Fishes may be shipped in Kordon breathable bags. We will check the weather in your zip code to make sure your package is prepared for destination temperatures. Heat or cool packs will be added as needed. We may use recycled packaging to minimize waste and help the environment. Buyer is never charged for packaging, box, heat or cool packs.

Live Arrival Guaranteed
The package must be signed for at the first delivery attempt. To protect both parties, when opening your livestock shipment, please video tape the entire process. If your order arrives DOA (dead on arrival), it will be caught on video as you are unboxing it. Hold the sealed DOA bag up to the camera for a closeup. We may ask you to send this unopened DOA package back to us, so please do not throw anything out. Every customer should think about having their packages delivered to the closest FedEx location to minimize on-truck transit time. A package delivered to a FedEx location generally arrives earlier than if delivered to a home or business. This will also minimize the chances that a delivery driver leaves a package outside in bad weather. If you decide to have the package delivered to your home, someone will need to be there to sign for it on the first delivery attempt. We are not responsible for failed deliveries or refused packages. We are not responsible for shipping delays because of shipping company errors, such as bad weather or lost packages. We are not responsible for any damage caused by the carrier. If the package arrives damaged, keep all packaging materials for evidence and we will try our best to make things right. We will replaced DOA items if they are reported within an hour of receipt with a video of the unboxing of the DOA emailed to us. Please continue acclimation as livestock are sometimes shocked and do come back during acclimation. Replacement will be shipped with prepayment of shipping on the replacement. If replacement is not available, purchase price less shipping will be credited towards next purchase.

Cancelled & Hold Orders
A 20% restocking fee will be charged to cancelled orders held over one week. We don’t like to hold any orders over a week, so under special circumstances, we’ll hold an order up to 10 days.
